Description
Presbyterian Living is seeking a mission-driven, resident-centered, and operationally disciplined leader to serve as the Executive Director of Lake Forest Place. This is an opportunity to lead one of the organization’s flagship Life Plan Communities during a pivotal time.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Executive Director will oversee all community operations, ensuring exceptional resident experiences, financial sustainability, regulatory compliance, and strong organizational performance. The successful candidate will be a visible and engaged leader who fosters accountability, collaboration, service excellence, and a culture of continuous improvement.
Lake Forest Place, part of Presbyterian Living, is a faith-based, not-for-profit Life Plan Community located on a beautiful 60-acre wooded campus on Chicago’s North Shore. Offering independent living, assisted living, memory care, and healthcare services, the community provides a distinctive lifestyle focused on luxury, convenience, meaningful connections, and overall well-being. As a complex, multi-level senior living environment, Lake Forest Place requires an experienced leader capable of driving operational excellence while ensuring an exceptional resident experience.
Key priorities for the new Executive Director include developing a high-performing leadership team, strengthening operational and financial performance, advancing occupancy growth, while transitioning the organization to a more scalable operating model that supports future growth. The Executive Director will partner closely with corporate leaders to implement strategic priorities, drive performance through data and financial metrics, and ensure the highest standards of resident care, safety, and service.
The ideal candidate will bring significant leadership experience in aging services, preferably within a Life Plan Community, CCRC, or senior living environment. A proven track record in performance improvement, change management, team development, and financial management is essential. Strong communication skills, business acumen, and a genuine commitment to enhancing the lives of older adults are critical to success in this role.
