Description

Integrative Omics Group in Biological Sciences Division at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) is looking for Postdoctoral Researcher in Proteomics. This postdoctoral position focuses on the development and application of mass spectrometry-based proteome profiling and quantification of target proteins of interest from cells, tissues, and biofluids. Efforts will include methods development, sample preparation and separation methods for enhancing reproducibility and sensitivity, and applications of them to biomedical and systems biology research. The successful candidate will assist, and possibly lead in the preparation of manuscripts, posters, and reports and presentation of results in conferences. Additionally, he/she will use project management systems at PNNL, maintain an accurate laboratory notebook, adhere to Environmental Safety and Health (ES&H) Operations, and follow security requirements as well as directorate/group policies. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled or the search is closed.

This is a full-time, limited term employment position.  The duration of this appointment is two years, with the option of extending the appointment for up to three years.



Requirements

Candidates must have received a PhD in analytical chemistry or biochemistry within the past five years (60 months). All staff at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory must be able to demonstrate the legal right to work in the United States.

The successful candidate will be expected to work effectively with an interdisciplinary team of researchers, be self-motivated, and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. He/she will be expected to have hands-on experience in mass spectrometry, proteomics, LC separations, and data analysis.
