Description
The Home Care Association of America (HCAOA) is seeking a Digital Communications Manager to construct and oversee HCAOA’s online member community, create dynamic content, and increase member engagement.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Construct, manage, and moderate digital communities for HCAOA membership based on geography and interest area within the framework of CommUnity by Personify
- Create engaging content for digital community and social media platforms, including blogs, newsletter articles, social media posts, newsletters, and videos.
- Actively participate and engage with members in online discussions and respond to comments and requests
- Relay community feedback to relevant internal stakeholders
- Collaborate with HCAOA team to incorporate membership, marketing, education, and advocacy messaging in digital community
- Create actionable plans to grow engagement among members and report on progress
- Monitor and analyze digital community metrics to assess member engagement
- Stay up to date with current technologies and trends in online communities, social media, digital advertising, design tools, and applications.
Requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Expertise using social media platforms (such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.) and social media management software (such as Sprout Social, HubSpot, or Hootsuite, etc.).
- Creative experience with video-editing software and visual design software (such as Canva, etc.)
- Working knowledge of basic web content management systems (Memberclicks, WordPress, or equivalent CMS) preferred
- Flexible and highly adaptable to take on new or changing priorities
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
- 3+ years’ experience in content creation and/or online community management
- Strong understanding of digital communities and social media
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team
- Effective project management skills, skilled at handling multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Genuine passion for social media and online communities
